We give our POWER away when we expect others to know what is best for us. Only you know what is best for you. Only you can come into the reality of what you truly want and desire in your experience. If you are waiting on someone else to make all the decisions and do all the mental work for you, you are giving away your POWER.
When we were children our parents took care of us and made the decisions for us because we were not aware of the ramifications of just being in the world without knowledge. We depended on them to protect us, to feed us, to educate us. However, even as children we begin asserting our independence to make decisions on what we felt best for ourselves. We began to choose our clothes. We were able to request different toys and even decide when we wanted to go to a friends house. Other times we had to ask permission to go or do things, but we had already decided we wanted to do them when we asked for the permission. Our parents said yes or no to our request based on many factors including our safety or required finances to participate, etc… Once we are grown we do not need to ask anyone’s permission to make decisions for ourselves. When we find the choice we made brought us pain, we continue to learn from it and move forward by making a new and better decision.
However, no one can know what is best for you but you, and we can not know what is best for someone else either. It is our job to determine what is best for ourselves. People will tell you they know what you need or what you should do or even what you should be or become, but these are merely suggestions. It is up to you to decide if that suggestions fits into your mode of thinking and will carry you to a better state. The final decision is always yours in any situation. No one ever can make you do anything. You are responsible for your own choices even if they were influenced by someone or something else. The choice is still yours to make and in exercising self-mastery you become conscious and responsible for your own choices.
You were born with the Divine ability to operate from a Spiritual perspective making you capable of discerning and detecting your own path. It is not always easy to make the right choices or to be sure of the choice you are making, and sometimes it takes concerted effort to sit quietly and still your own mind to find the answers. However, self-mastery is a conscious choice to do the necessary mental work so that you are attuned to the proper guidance that only you can come into the awareness of for yourself.
As well giving advice to others, making decisions for them, or mapping out their strategy is not your job. We can only trust that we know what is best for ourselves, as well as they know for themselves the same. Each person is not only capable of, but also fully responsible for gathering the necessary information and asking for guidance and direction for themselves, but then the final choice is yours to sift and sort through it so you are capable of listening to the POWER within to ascertain what is the best decision for you. No one can know the best decision, no one can make the choice and you must be strong enough to push past the pressure of peers and family to make the right choices for yourself.
Each person has the responsibility to find their own path. When we are allowing others to make our decisions and choices we are miserable and feel removed from our own lives because we are not following our own heart to fulfill our desires and dreams. We are not living our passion and fully engaged in L.I.F.E.
The struggle we experience comes from not trusting ourselves and the POWER within. However, we can come into a relaxed understanding of our own POWER by going within and knowing that even in our trials and errors we are discovering what is best for ourselves.
