You Set Your Own Rules -Dr. Diva Verdun

You Set Your Own Rules

For many of us we grew up believing that heeding the word of God or our Higher POWER meant we must follow a set of stringent rules and rigid instructions that prohibit certain actions and behaviors.  We have been taught that we are to live a certain way in order to be righteous, and we continue to fall short of the long list of dogmatic prohibitions making us feel we are failures at living.

We have tried to uphold certain dogmas and religious order to gain approval and favor from God.  We are taught that we are born into sin and because of our failed living we begin to question what difference living spiritual makes anyway if we cannot avoid our sin natures?  The truth is these rules are really set up to keep you in cultural alignment.

You were personally stamped approved by God at the moment of your conception, and you were born with power and favor. Spirit did not set a rule book for you.  If there were an instruction manual you would have been born with one.  The beauty and gift of living is that you are Spirit in manifest human form here to have an experience called L.I.F.E., and in order to experience L.I.F.E. you are free to set your own rule book.  You are the author of your own L.I.F.E. and you personally craft your own rule book based on your awareness and realization as you continue to move through your own trials and challenges.

You Set Your Own Rules -Dr. Diva VerdunWe are not free to worship in truth and light because we have not been taught that the truth and light lives within us.  When we come into the realization of truth and come to understand that Spirit is living within us as us having a dynamic and unique experience called _____________________ (insert your name), then we begin to realize that we are setting our own rules with the approval of Spirit in each and every moment.

The truth is that you are living a righteous experience with each and every breath you take.  The word righteous means to make right choices. Every decision and choice you make is the right choice at the moment you made it.  It can only become the wrong choice once you go down the path and have the necessary experience that enlightens you to your own personal approval to the choice you have made.  You must experience it to know if you like it or not.

If you did not make the choice to experience something you would not have learned what you like or do not like.  The experience may turn out to be negative, but still the choice was right when you made it.  It only became the wrong choice later after you lived through the experience.  You are therefore always living righteous, because you are always making right choices that bring you into the full awareness of who you are and channel your energy directly back into the full use of your POWER.

We have been lead to believe that we can’t trust ourselves because we can not live righteously without Spirit and because we are born  into sin.  If Spirit is living within you, how can you ever be anything more than righteous?  You are never ever separate from Spirit.  Spirit is as much a part of you as your very breath.  You therefore were born to live a righteous experience, an experience to make right choices.

But you say, it doesn’t matter because you were born into sin.  Yes, you were born into sin, but to know the truth of what sin means sets you free to continue to make the choices that groom you into the full use of your POWER. You Set Your Own Rules - Dr. Diva Verdun Sin is an Aramaic term, which is the language of Jesus. It is an archery term yelled by the archer’s assistant when he missed the mark.  As well, wherever the arrow landed the archer’s assistant would point and yell evil.  To sin means simply that you made a mistake and that you landed in the wrong place, which is what lands you in evil.  Note: the word evil is the word live spelled backwards. Thus, when you are in evil you are not living a righteous L.I.F.E. or a L.I.F.E. of right choices. You have simply made a mistake, or sinned.

You are born a spiritual person, fully and wholly here to live by the choices you make. This means you are constantly making the right choices to discover your POWER and to learn more of who you are.  You are born into sin, because you are born to make mistakes as you make what seems to be the right choices at the right moment, which you may only realize at a later date is not right for you. It is through both your choices and your mistakes you begin to write your own rule book for your own L.I.F.E.  Living a Spiritual experience is truly just that simple.

Stop fretting over the mistakes you made.  Stop fretting and beating yourself up about what you feel to be sin.  Spirit is not judging you. Spirit was there with you when you made the choice to do whatever you did, and Spirit was there with you when you did it.  There is no judgment, and therefore there should be no fear.  There should only be the experience you had and the knowledge of truth that you gained from it that allows you to be free to set your own rules for your L.I.F.E. as you continue to live a Spiritual experience as Spirit in human form called ________________ (insert your name here).

Religious fanaticism prohibits us from living the fullness of L.I.F.E.  Spirit is so simple and enjoys every part of the experience called ___________________ (Insert your name here).  You were given the POWER of a Sound Mind. Use it to gain the footing necessary to live your L.I.F.E. and to live it in the fullness of the POWER that you are.

  1. You must not judge to quickly. While some religions do think that you must reach a certain standard of right actions, to get into the kingdom of heaven, Christianity is different. We believe that you simply have to except Christ as your Friend and Saviour, and he will forgive you of your sins. He sent His Son to die on the cross for EVERYONE’S sins. And if you believe that what ever we choose is right, is right, then what do you say to all the murderers out there?! Or any other criminal! Were they right, when they went and, killed people just for some unknown reason, does it make it right just because they thought it was? We are not perfect, and can never be perfect, but God sent His only Son to die for us, so we can go to heaven to be with Him when we die, if we just except the gift. Your days our numbered, all of our days our numbered, when your time runs out, our you going to believe in Jesus Christ? Or are you going to face the Creator without Him in your heart. GOD’S NOT DEAD!!!

    John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever shall believe in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life!
Are you going to believe in Him?

    1. God is not Dead, and Christ is very much alive in all that chose to acknowledge the POWER that lives within. This article does not refute scripture, it refutes the lack of understanding we have with regards to the deeper things of Spirit, which when fully understood allow us to be free to LIVE FULLY IN THIS EXPERIENCE. God is LOVE, and there is nothing in God but LOVE. A realization of truth regarding sin allows us to be free to make choices that allow us to grow.

This article is not meant to answer the philosophical questions you propose. It is meant to correct the misconception that we are here to suffer through life waiting for the day we meet God in eternity. We came from the eternal to this experience. We are Spirits living a human experience that came here from a loving Presence we call God. We are not here to waste this experience waiting to die to go back to the eternal. We are here to gather information and grow into a deeper discovery of Life and all its glory in this moment. Otherwise there is no need to step out of the eternal love and presence into this carnal experience to simply wait to die to go back home to eternity.

This is not a religious debate. This is practical information to free those that are in bondage from dogmatic belief systems that keep them from venturing out to explore the beauty of the gift God has given each of us… That gift is LIFE.

      Peace and Blessings
