When we are going through something we often hear people tell us that we should simply grin and bear it. We will hear the familiar colloquialism that God will not put on us more than we can bear. However, when we are in the midst of going through a painful process the last thing we want to do is grin or bear anything. We are actually in the process of praying and pleading with Spirit to stop the pain cause we can’t bear it anymore.
When you are going through something, in pain or having severe financial issues you want answers from God, not more pain. You want relief. You want a right now miracle. You want the pain to stop. Someone patting you on the back, and telling you to grin and bear it, because God will pull you through is not the relief you want to hear in times of deep trouble and emotional trauma. It is not that you don’t believe in God or know God loves you, it is just these remarks only work to frustrate you when you need relief from the trials you are experiencing.
It is true that Spirit will not put more on you than you can bear. As you move through the trial you are learning deeper lessons from what you are experiencing, even though you may not be immediately aware of it. Thus, you can bear the weight of the issues and challenges you are going through no matter how difficult they may seem to be or bad they may get. The weight of the issue may seem to get worse, but you are learning how to move through a crisis and you will become aware shortly that you were equipped with the POWER to move through it all along.
The greatest lessons you will come to find are in the trials you experience. They are teaching you how to process your issues as you move forward in L.I.F.E. You will find that you literally are equipped to bear more than you thought you could as you come out victorious on the other side of your challenges. In turn you become aware of the truism that God will not put more on you than you can bear.
Through your trials and challenges, heartbreak and disappointments you begin to learn that you will survive through them. You learn that you can go deeper within to listen to the still small voice, which will lead you out of the valley of the shadow of death and into the green pastures where your cup will be running over.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. ~Psalms 23
While you are in the midst of the troubled water(confusion in consciousness) you can’t see the green pastures. You have to work against your own negative thoughts that keep you drowned in feeling sorry for yourself. You have to stand up and be the victorious one over the victim and martyr that your emotions are leading you through. You have to look up to the hills from where your help comes from. You have to smile and lift your eyes and your heart up and know you can bear any trial because the POWER that lives within you is the same POWER that created heaven and earth. You are equipped with all the resources you need to bear through any trial, any problem, and situation or circumstance. You have the greatest POWER living within you. You can face any adversity, challenge or pain and grin and bear forth the fruit you are in labor to produce in your own L.I.F.E.
